Ed Amoroso - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Two brothers wanted for the murder of a man in Manila in 2002 were arrested in Quezon City on Friday afternoon.

Michael Olegario, 47, and his brother Alfonso, 46, both construction workers, were served an arrest warrant at a house in Barangay Bagong Silang by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-National Capital Region, led by CIDG-Manila field officer Lt. Col. Bryan Dexter Andulan.

The warrant was issued by Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 53 Judge Reynaldo Alhambra on Sept. 24.

Eyewitnesses identified the brothers as among five suspects who allegedly shot dead Rodolfo Roque Sr. with a homemade shotgun on Jan. 20, 2022.

The other suspects – Bongbong Labnotin, Gregorio Lagador and a certain Charlie, alias Dagul – were charged with the same offense, Andulan said.
