New Central Luzon, Calabarzon PNP chiefs assume post

MANILA, Philippines — The Central Luzon and Calabarzon police offices have a new director.

Brig. Gen. Cesar de los Reyes Pasiwen was installed as head of the Central Luzon police yesterday.

He took over the post held by Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay at the change of command ceremony held at Camp Olivas in Pampanga. The ceremony was presided by Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad, commander of the Area Police Command (APC) in Northern Luzon.

Pasiwen was former head of the intelligence unit of the Central Luzon police and executive officer of APC Northern Luzon. He is a member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Academy Class of 1994.

In Calabarzon, Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. took over as regional police director in ceremonies presided by PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr.  at  Camp Vicente Lim.

Nartatez replaced Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra.

Nartatez, who served as the director of the PNP Finance Service, is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1992. – Ed Amoroso, Ric Sapnu
