HPG cracks down on drag racers
MANILA, Philippines — The Highway Patrol Group (HPG) of the Philippine National Police has intensified the campaign against drag racing in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
In an interview on dzBB yesterday, HPG chief Brig. Gen. Clifford Gairanod said they are monitoring reports of drag racing in Quezon City.
Gairanod said based on their investigation, drag racing along Mindanao Avenue usually starts at midnight and ends at 4 a.m. during weekends.
“We are coordinating with the Quezon City Police District to stop drag racing in the area,” he said.
“We have deployed intelligence operatives there to arrest drag racers,” Gairanod added.
