MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) yesterday turned over P16.3 million to the Quezon City government as part of its share from the lotto revenues.

Mayor Joy Belmonte received checks amounting to P16,305,343.79 from PCSO general manager Mel Robles and National Capital Region department manager Josefina Sarsonas-Aguas at city hall.

Robles said the amount represents the local government’s shares from lotto sales from January to June.

Belmonte expressed her gratitude to the PCSO, saying the money would be used for the city’s charity programs.

“This will benefit Quezon City residents affected by the pandemic as well as those afflicted with dengue and leptospirosis,” the mayor said.
