Magnitude 4.6 quake hits Zambales
MANILA, Philippines — A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Zambales yesterday.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tectonic quake was recorded seven kilometers west of Masinloc at about 4:36 p.m. The quake had a depth of focus of 40 kms.
Phivolcs said Instrumental Intensity 4 was recorded in Iba, Zambales while Intensity 3 was reported in Infanta, Pangasinan and Olongapo City in Zambales.
The quake was felt at Intensity 2 in Gapan, Nueva Ecija; Dagupan, Pangasinan, and Subic and San Antonio in Zambales.
It was also felt at Intensity 2 in Quezon City and Intensity 1 in Plaridel in Bulacan, Malabon City, Pasig City, Quezon City, Navotas City, San Jose and Palayan City in Nueva Ecija, Guagua in Pampanga, Basista and Bolinao in Pangasinan and San Francisco, Quezon and Tarlac City.
