Ralph Edwin Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Debold Sinas has been named adviser of Cebu City’s peace and order council.

Mayor Mike Rama announced Sinas’ appointment after a flag-raising ceremony yesterday morning.

In his speech, Sinas said he was “very happy” to be back in Cebu City.

He pledged to support Rama’s vision of turning Cebu into a city like Singapore.

He assured Rama and the public that he and the police would support the mayor’s peace and order programs.

Sinas served as PNP chief from November 2020 to May 2021.
