31 active COVID-19 cases in PNP
MANILA, Philippines — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Philippine National Police has climbed to 31, the PNP said in its latest report yesterday.
Police said six of the patients tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, one of whom was reinfected.
A police personnel who was previously infected with the virus has recovered. The death toll in the PNP due to the virus remains at 129.
PNP public information office chief Brig. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba urged the public not to lower their guard and continue observing minimum public health protocols.
Up to 225,889 police personnel are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with 223,032 or 98.74 percent having received booster shots.
The PNP has 165 members waiting for their second dose of COVID vaccine while 590 are still unvaccinated.
