11 barangays get DILG seal of good governance

MANILA, Philippines — Eleven barangays in Metro Manila were declared national passers of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) National Capital Region’s Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB) program for 2021.

The DILG identified the barangays that passed the program’s pilot testing, which involved 1,344 barangays, as Sta. Lucia in San Juan, New Zañiga in Mandaluyong, Santo Niño in Marikina, Dela Paz in Pasig, Batasan Hills in Quezon City, Barangay 28 in Caloocan, Lawang Bato in Valenzuela, Talon Kuatro in Las Piñas, San Isidro in Makati, Sucat in Muntinlupa and San Isidro in Parañaque.

The DILG said similar to the Seal of Good Local Governance program, the SGLGB is a recognition-based program that specifically monitors and awards the progress, leadership and improvement of the barangays in various areas.
