Alleged e-sabong agent nabbed in Pasig

Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A man allegedly involved in e-sabong games was arrested in Pasig City on Tuesday.

The police Anti-Cybercrime Group said the 31-year-old suspect was nabbed in Barangay Pinagbuhatan. The ACG declined to name the suspect, but a television report identified him as Kenneth Jacinto.

The suspect was reportedly looking for bettors when he was arrested by police.

ACG director Brig. Gen. Bowenn Joey Masauding said the suspect is an e-sabong master agent who facilitated online cockfights despite the ban imposed by President Duterte.

The suspect is being held on charges of illegal gambling and violation of Republic Act 1075 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act.
