LPA to bring cloudy skies over Palawan, Visayas
MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure spotted off Puerto Princesa City will bring cloudy skies over parts of Palawan and the Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said yesterday.
As of 3 p.m., the weather disturbance was at 140 kilometers east of Puerto Princesa.
The low-pressure area is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone or make landfall in any part of the country, PAGASA said, noting it can dissipate in the next 48 hours.
Scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Albay, Masbate, Palawan, Romblon and Sorsogon as well as the Visayas.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides are likely to occur during heavy rains, state weather forecasters said.
