John Unson - The Philippine Star

PIGCAWAYAN, North Cotabat, Philippines — Police said shabu worth P204,000 and four guns were seized from a wanted drug dealer and his cohort, who were killed in a shootout with anti-narcotics agents in Barangay Balacayon in this town on Wednesday.

Naravy Duquiatan, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Soccksargen chief, said Ebrahim Samama and his companion, identified only as Mamako, fired at law enforcers who were about to serve a search warrant at the hideout of the suspects.

Samama was among those who escaped from the North Cotabato provincial jail in 2017.

Two of Samama’s alleged cohorts, Guiahed Akmad and Ali Kamsa surrendered to the raiding team.

In Bulacan, reports reaching acting police chief Col. Charlie Cabradilla showed that shabu valued at P3.4 million was seized from Jayson Falcon, Edwardo Elgarlino and Sarah Biscante in a sting along McArthur Highway in Barangay Bunlo in Bocaue at around 9:30 p.m. – Ramon Efren Lazaro, Emmanuel Tupas
