Misamis Oriental mayoral bet held for estafa

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — A candidate for mayor in Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental was arrested for estafa on Tuesday.

Danilo Gadrinab, 51, a civil engineer running as an independent, was apprehended based on a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 24 Judge Henry Damasing. Bail was set at P72,000.

Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Misamis Oriental chief Maj. Gerson Soliven said the complainant was a supplier of construction materials, with whom Gadrinab had transacted.
