Belmonte opens new police station

MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government inaugurated the new Bagong Silangan police station on Sunday.

Mayor Joy Belmonte led the inauguration of the police station together with Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Brig. Gen. Remus Medina and other local officials.

QCPD Station 13 has jurisdiction over areas in Barangays Bagong Silangan and Payatas.

Apart from the new police building, the local government donated patrol cars to help the local police in law enforcement operations.

Belmonte said the local government would continue to assist the QCPD in its mandate to ensure the security of the city.
