The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in collaboration with the Land Transportation Office, Land Transportation Regulatory Board, Philippine National Police and local government units initiated the random drug testing, which is part of “Oplan Harabas,” to ensure the safety of commuters during Holy Week.
Glenn Guillermo, information officer of PDEA-Central Luzon office, said four bus drivers at the Dau integrated bus terminal in Pampanga, three at Subic public terminal in Zambales and one at Robinson’s bus terminal in Pampanga were found positive for drug use.
Guillermo said the drivers were referred to their respective local government units for appropriate interventions.
