Metro mayors declare support for BBM, Isko Moreno
MANILA, Philippines — Some mayors in Metro Manila have publicly expressed their support for presidential candidates Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
In his Facebook page, Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco shared the post of his wife Michelle, which featured a photo of him and Marcos together.
Marcos and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio held their proclamation rally at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on Tuesday.
Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian announced on his Facebook page that Marcos and Carpio would hold a campaign rally in the city today.
His brother, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, is running for reelection under the Marcos-Carpio slate.
Pateros Mayor Miguel Ponce III showed his support for Moreno when he attended the latter’s proclamation rally at the Kartilya ng Katipunan Shrine beside the Manila city hall yesterday.
Ponce called on the people to think twice before voting for candidates based merely on their campaign slogan.
