The weather disturbance has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression in the next 24 to 48 hours, but it will bring light to moderate to at times heavy rain over Caraga, Davao, Northern Mindanao and the Visayas as well as in Masbate, Sorsogon and Ticao Island, state weather forecasters said.

MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area was spotted 185 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur yesterday.

The weather disturbance has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression in the next 24 to 48 hours, but it will bring light to moderate to at times heavy rain over Caraga, Davao, Northern Mindanao and the Visayas as well as in Masbate, Sorsogon and Ticao Island, state weather forecasters said.

“Floods and landslides are likely to occur especially in areas that are susceptible to hazards.”
