MANILA, Philippines — The number of active COVID-19 cases in Pasay City dropped to 386 yesterday after recording more than 3,000 infections early this month.

The city health office said COVID-19 cases in the city soared to 3,466 on Jan. 13 from only one infection last Dec. 20.

As of yesterday, Pasay had posted 28,077 cases of COVID-19 with 27,125 recoveries and 566 deaths.

Local officials urged the people to continue following minimum health protocols to avoid contracting the virus.
