The body of Cpl. Nestor Madelo, 37, of the Bacolod City police Station 5, was found near a sugarcane plantation in Barangay Pilar. He was identified through an ID in his wallet.

BACOLOD CITY – A police officer was found dead in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental yesterday.

The body of Cpl. Nestor Madelo, 37, of the Bacolod City police Station 5, was found near a sugarcane plantation in Barangay Pilar. He was identified through an ID in his wallet.

Madelo was wearing only a pair of short pants when he was found by Felimon Pacaonces.

Probers said they have yet to determine if Madelo’s injury in the left face was caused by a gunshot.
