MANILA, Philippines — Starting today, portions of Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Parañaque and Pasay will have daily water service interruptions for nearly a month due to increased turbidity in Laguna Lake, the Maynilad Water Services Inc. announced yesterday.

“Increased turbidity in the raw water of Laguna Lake has constrained us to reduce the production of our treatment plants,” Maynilad said in an advisory.

The concessionaire said the daily water service interruptions in its service areas would last until Feb. 15.

Among the areas to be affected in Las Piñas include portions of barangays Almanza Uno, Almanza Dos, Pilar, Talon Uno, Talon Tres to Talon Singko, CAA, Manuyo Dos, Pamplona Uno to Pamplona Tres, Pulang Lupa Uno, Pulang Lupa Dos and Zapote.

Areas to be affected in Muntinlupa are barangays Alabang, Ayala Alabang, Cupang, Bayanan, Poblacion, Putatan and Tunasan.

In Parañaque, portions of Almanza Uno, BF Homes and BF International/ CAA, 183, 201, Don Bosco, Marcelo Green, Merville, Moonwalk, San Antonio and San Isidro will experience water service interruptions.

Maynilad said Barangays 181 to 185 and 201 in Pasay City would also have water service interruptions daily.
