Rainy in parts of VisMin due to LPA
MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area spotted 1,055 kilometers east of Mindanao yesterday morning was forecast to bring rain in parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao regions may expect cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned the public of flashfloods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rain.
Cagayan Valley, the Cordilleras, Aurora and the northern portion of Quezon, including Polillo islands, will experience cloudy skies with light rain.
PAGASA said Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and the Visayas would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain.
The rest of Mindanao is forecast to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain caused by localized thunderstorms that may result in possible flashfloods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
On the other hand, PAGASA said the shear line would affect the eastern section of Mindanao while the northeast monsoon would affect Luzon and the Visayas.
