Cops deployed for in-person classes

Neil Jayson Servallos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Police will be deployed to implement peace and order during the pilot run of face-to-face classes in Metro Manila today, an official said yesterday.

Philippine National Police chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos said they have the list of schools participating in the resumption of in-person classes.

“The resumption of face-to-face classes is not new to us anymore since other schools have started this last month,” Carlos said.

“We just have to follow the template and remind police to limit themselves from going inside school premises unless there is a request for security assistance,” he added.

Carlos reminded students, parents and teachers to observe health protocols such as wearing of face mask and frequent hand washing.
