LRT-2 halts trips during rush hour

MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) stopped all train trips during the morning rush hour yesterday.
The entire rail line, which connects Antipolo and Manila, was put under code red alert starting at around 6 a.m. due to problems in its signaling system, according to Hernando Cabrera, spokesman and corporate secretary of LRT-2 operator Light Rail Transit Authority. The LRTA lifted the alert at past 7 a.m.
