P3.4 million shabu seized in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines — An estimated P3.4 million worth of shabu was confiscated by anti-narcotics officers during a sting in Caloocan City on Saturday, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported yesterday.

Arturo de la Cruz, 38, was arrested during the operation conducted by police and members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) along Loreto street in Barangay 84, according to NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao.

Danao said police recovered from De la Cruz around 500 grams of shabu and the marked money.

Danao commended the NCRPO and PDEA operatives for the suspect’s arrest.  De la Cruz is being held by police on charges of drug trafficking. — Ramon Efren Lazaro, Marc Jayson Cayabyab
