Ghio Ong - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Navotas has recorded a steady decline in the number of active COVID-19 cases, the city government said yesterday.

From 1,115 active cases on Sept. 9, the city government reported there were only 94 patients being treated or isolated as of Thursday. Most of the patients were from Barangay NBBS Dagatdagatan.

No active cases were reported in Barangay Bagumbayan North as of Thursday.

The city government has registered 17,534 confirmed cases, with 16,900 recoveries and 540 deaths.

Mayor Toby Tiangco thanked his constituents for helping bring down the number of active cases by getting vaccinated and wearing their face masks properly.

He said residents who want to spend time outdoors may visit Pescador Park extension and Greenzone Park along Road 10.
