The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — As Sen. Bong Go vowed to bring needed aid to disaster-affected communities amid the COVID-19 pandemic, he visited Boac, Marinduque on Tuesday to personally provide assistance to victims of Typhoon Jolina.

Go appealed to his fellow public servants to continue working hand–in-hand in order to overcome the crisis as one nation.

The senator encouraged Filipinos to stay vigilant, cooperative and supportive of the government’s response to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Go also appealed to the public to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

The distribution activity was held at the Marinduque State University gymnasium where grocery packs, meals, face masks, face shields and vitamins were given to 557 typhoon victims.

The senator also gave new pairs of shoes and bicycles to selected recipients as well as computer tablets to help students cope with the blended learning setup.
