Pateros eases curfew hours
MANILA, Philippines — Curfew hours in Pateros will be shortened beginning tomorrow, Mayor Miguel Ponce III announced yesterday.
Starting at 12 a.m. of Oct. 13, the curfew period will be adjusted from 12 midnight to 4 a.m., Ponce said.
The Metro Manila Council, composed of 17 mayors in the National Capital Region, previously imposed a unified curfew from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. when the NCR was placed under the general community quarantine’s Alert Level 4 for COVID-19.
Ponce said the shorter curfew hours would allow businesses, particularly restaurants, to accept more customers.
Under Alert Level 4, indoor dining and al fresco are allowed to operate at 20 percent and 30 percent capacity, respectively.
