DSWD: Relief aid, funds on standby for Lannie victims
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is coordinating with local government units that need backup supply of relief assistance for families affected by tropical depression Lannie.
The DSWD said that it is ready to provide augmentation assistance with its stockpiles and standby funds amounting to more than P1 billion.
The agency said 365,402 family food packs have been prepositioned in strategic locations across the country.
DSWD field offices are monitoring the track of weather disturbances, including areas with tropical cyclone wind signals.
