Army names new spokesman
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Army has appointed Col. Xerxes Trinidad as its new spokesman and head of the Office of the Army Chief Public Affairs.
Trinidad officially assumed the post vacated by Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesman Col. Ramon Zagala on Monday following turnover rites led by Army chief Brig. Gen. Robert Capulong.
Prior to his appointment, Trinidad was the assistant chief of staff for civil military operations of the 4th Infantry Division, commanding officer of the 36th Infantry Battalion and executive officer of the 402nd Infantry Brigade.
Trinidad is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1995. He holds a master’s degree in public management, major in development security, from the Development Academy of the Philippines.
