MANILA, Philippines — Nearly 84 percent of Las Piñas’ target population have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Data from the city government shows that 374,260 individuals have been vaccinated – representing 83.7 percent of Las Piñas’ target population, which in turn is 70 percent of the city’s total population.

The number of fully vaccinated people is equivalent to 58.6 percent of the city’s total population.

The city government said a total of 422,300 individuals have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, which is equivalent to 94.5 percent of the city’s target population and 66.1 percent of the total population.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority earlier said it expects about 90 percent of the eligible population in Metro Manila to be vaccinated against COVID by December.
