MALOLOS, Philippines — Two persons were injured when a two-seater Cessna plane crashed in a vacant lot in Barangay Agnaya in Plaridel, Bulacan yesterday.

Capt. Paul Jemuel Gayanes and co-pilot Lebon Eisen Sandoval were taken to the La Consolacion General Hospital for treatment.

Initial reports reaching Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan police director, showed that the plane was on a training flight at Plaridel airport at around 8:30 a. m. when the wing of the aircraft hit a branch of an acacia tree.

The plane is owned by Precision Flight Control Philippines.

Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines spokesman Eric Apolonio said CAAP investigators are gathering information from the Plaridel tower and residents who witnessed the crash.  – Rudy Santos
