P1.1 million weed seized from online seller
MANILA, Philippines — A man who reportedly sold marijuana online was caught with more than P1.1 million worth of marijuana in a drug sting in Caloocan before dawn yesterday.
Michael Kevin Garcia, 24, reportedly sold P4,000 worth of marijuana to an undercover police officer along Ligaya street in Barangay 122, the Northern Police District reported.
Police would file a charge of illegal drug trading against Garcia.
In Taguig, around 100 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu were confiscated from Louie Avacahin, 36; Reynaldo Opena, 56; Elmer Cawid, 59, and Marfred Mandajoyan, 35, in a sting in Barangay Western Bicutan on Thursday afternoon, police Drug Enforcement Group director Brig. Gen. Remus Medina said.
The four men are being held on charges of drug trafficking, according to Medina.– Emmanuel Tupas
