2 Chinese nabbed in drug raid

MANILA, Philippines — Two Chinese men were arrested during an anti-narcotics operation in Mandaluyong that yielded P68,000 worth of shabu on Wednesday.

Ben He, 34, and Kouyu Tan, 30, were nabbed when agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) raided their condominium unit in Barangay Hulo.

Christian Frivaldo, who heads the PDEA’s National Capital Region field office, said around 10 grams of shabu and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the Chinese.

The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
