P3.4 million shabu seized in Maguindanao

John Unson - The Philippine Star

MAGUINDANAO, Philippines – Shabu with an estimated street value of P3.4 million was seized from two drug suspects who were arrested in Sultan Mastura town in this province on Friday.

Ibra Farhan and Alinor Taurac were held at the detention facility of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Cotabato City.

The suspects reportedly sold half a kilo of shabu to undercover PDEA agents in Barangay Tambo.

Authorities are verifying information that Farhan is a village councilman in Tamparan, Lanao del Sur.

The Lanao del Sur provincial peace and order council told journalists that it would recommend Farhan’s suspension if the suspect is verified to be an official of Barangay Guinaupan.

Aside from illegal drugs, the PDEA seized the suspects’ car that they used during the sting.
