MANILA, Philippines — A total of 595 inmates of the Quezon City Jail female dormitory were vaccinated yesterday, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) said.

The BJMP said the inmates received their first dose of Sinovac jabs.

The inoculation was facilitated by the Quezon City Police District’s vaccination team and eight nurses from the local government.

The BJMP said a total of 7,816 inmates have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccines.

The Bocaue municipal jail in Bulacan became the first fully vaccinated BJMP facility in the country after all 148 inmates and personnel received their second dose of Sinovac jabs.
