SONA day will be rainy – PAGASA

Helen Flores - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Rainy weather will still prevail over Metro Manila and other parts of western Luzon today as President Duterte delivers his final State of the Nation Address (SONA).

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the habagat or southwest monsoon would be the dominant weather system in the next five days.

The western section of Luzon, including Metro Manila, will experience cloudy skies today, PAGASA said.

“Expect light rains in the morning, becoming light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening,” PAGASA said.

No tropical cyclone is expected to affect the country this week, according to the weather bureau.
