BI deports 9 Japanese
MANILA, Philippines — Nine Japanese were deported yesterday by the Bureau of Immigration (BI), almost two years after they were arrested in Makati on charges of telecommunications fraud.
The deportees were Matsuoka Shunjiro, Haga Kenji, Yoshizawa Shinichi, Takeda Tasuya, Araki Toshiya, Ogawa Takuma, Hiramura Takashi, Kiya Yasuke and Ichimura Shuichi.
They were escorted by the Japanese police when they boarded their flight at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport bound for Narita.
The fugitives were placed in the BI’s blacklist for being undesirable aliens.
