Village watchman shot dead

BAGUIO CITY – A village watchman was gunned down in Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur on Monday.

Tirzo Rin, 50, of Barangay Suksukit and other village watchmen were on their motorcycles on their way home when an unidentified man in a car opened fire.

Rin tried to escape when he fell from his motorcycle, but the assailants followed him and finished him off with more shots.

He was declared dead on arrival at the Northside Doctors Hospital.

Police recovered bullet shells for a caliber .45 pistol and the victim’s gun, also a caliber .45 pistol, at the scene.
