French pedophile nabbed in Antipolo

MANILA, Philippines — A Frenchman wanted in his country for sexual abuse of minors has been arrested by agents of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in Antipolo City.

Pascal Didier Gillot, 53, was arrested along A. Masangkay street in Barangay San Roque on Thursday, according to BI Commissioner Jaime Morente.

“We received information from the French authorities that Gillot is wanted in France for molesting children,” Morente said.

The foreigner is also reportedly a subject of Interpol’s red notice for sexual abuse of children, and for attempting to remove a child from the care of the legal guardian.

The BI said Gillot is an illegal alien as his travel documents have expired.

The suspect will be detained at a BI facility in Bicutan, Taguig pending completion of the deporation proceedings against him.
