New Calabarzon top cop assumes post

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — The former head of the Southern Police District in the National Capital Region Police Office, Brig. Gen. Eliseo Cruz, assumed his new post as director of the Calabarzon police on Monday.

Brig. Gen. Felipe Natividad turned over the post to Cruz in ceremonies led by Philippine National Police chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar.

Cruz, a native of Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija, is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Bigkis Lahi Class of 1990. He also served as head of the Cavite police in 2015 and was former director of the Highway Patrol Group.
