Businesswoman, vendor shot dead

MANILA, Philippines — A businesswoman was gunned down in Trece Martires, Cavite on Friday.

Initial investigation showed Wilma Baluyo was tending her eatery in Barangay Lapidario when she was shot.

In Pangasinan, vendor Jose Penuliar was driving his motorcycle when he was shot dead by unidentified men on another motorbike in Barangay Maasin in Mangaldan town.

Small-town lottery bet collector Eduardo Dacanay was wounded in a shooting in Barangay Poblacion East. The suspect, Richard Cariaga, is also an STL bet collector.

Investigations into the incidents are ongoing.
