Kids among Pangasinan’s new COVID-19 cases

Eva Visperas - The Philippine Star

URDANETA CITY, Philippines — The city government of Urdaneta in Pangasinan yesterday recorded 24 new COVID cases including two children aged four.

Mayor Julio Parayno III said a 69-year-old COVID patient from Barangay Nancayasan died on Sunday and was cremated immediately.

The city now has 51 active cases. The youngest are a boy and a girl, both four years old, from the villages of Nancayasan and San Jose, respectively.

Parayno appealed to residents to seriously consider the threat of COVID, especially those with pre-existing conditions and comorbidities.

He urged residents to defer non-essential travel as the number of cases continues to rise.
