2 drug suspects slain in sting

CAMP OLIVAS, PAMPANGA, Philippines — Two suspected drug traffickers were killed in a sting in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija yesterday.

One of the fatalities was identified as Manny de Guzman, according to Col. Jaime Santos, officer-in-charge of the Nueva Ecija police.

The suspects reportedly drew their guns after sensing they were dealing with undercover agents in Barangay Soledad.

Probers recovered two handguns and 11 plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated street value of P277,000 from the suspects, Santos said.
