Valenzuela starts to vaccinate seniors

MANILA, Philippines — The Valenzuela government targets to inoculate 5,909 senior citizens with AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccines this week.

The vaccination drive for the elderly started on Saturday and will run until April 22, according to the city’s public information office.

The senior citizens are part of the first batch to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

AstraZeneca vaccines will be given to the first 850 registered senior citizens. The rest will get Sinovac.

The vaccination of the second batch of senior citizens will be from April 23 to 30.
