2 toddlers die in Caloocan fire
MANILA, Philippines — Two toddlers died in a 10-minute fire that destroyed their house in Barangay 43, Caloocan City on Friday night.
Kendal Janda and Mikho Cabansag, both aged three, had no companions when the blaze broke out at the two-story house at around 6:35 p.m., according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)’s Metro Manila office.
Their bodies were recovered at the ground floor by firefighters conducting mopping-up operations.
The fire left four families comprised of 14 individuals homeless and destroyed property estimated to be worth P60,000, the BFP reported.
Fire investigators have yet to determine what caused the blaze.
