Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Police officers distributed around 300 packs to Muslim communities in eastern Metro Manila yesterday.

Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, Eastern Police District (EPD) director, said the activity is part of their service to Muslims during the Feast of Ramadan.

Baccay said they visited Muslim communities in the cities of Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina and San Juan.

“Let us continue to reach out and alleviate the needs of our kababayans. At this time of crisis, let us all rise by lifting the burdens of others,” he said in a statement.

The distribution was house to house, in compliance with public health standards of the national government against COVID-19.

Baccay assured the there were no mass gatherings during their outreach activities.
