1,948 jeepneys resume operations today
MANILA, Philippines — Nearly 2,000 traditional and modern jeepneys were allowed to resume operations in Metro Manila starting today, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced yesterday.
The LTFRB said 62 routes were reopened for 1,948 traditional and modern jeepneys.
“The LTFRB is reminding jeepney operators and drivers to follow the health protocols. Those violating the provisions of the memorandum circular will be fined and their certificates of public convenience will be revoked,” the agency said.
The LTFRB has allowed 3,058 provincial buses to resume operations in Metro Manila since last year.
