2 killed in Nueva Ecija stings

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija, Philippines — Two drug suspects were killed in anti-drug operations in this province on Friday.

Col. Jaime Santos, Nueva Ecija police acting director, said Dickson Billones and Roberto de la Cruz engaged law enforcers, who posed as buyers of shabu, in a shootout in Barangay Carmen in Zaragoza town and Talipapa in Cabanatuan, respectively.

Police said a .38-caliber revolver, 14 sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P10,000 and marked money were recovered from Billones.

De la Cruz reportedly yielded a .38-caliber revolver and 25.24 grams of shabu valued at P171,632.
