Rizal villages to experience water interruptions

Rhodina Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Water will undertake maintenance and repair works at its Siruna pumping station in Barangay Mambugan, Antipolo City starting tomorrow afternoon.

The activity will cut water supply in more than 100,000 households as well as commercial and business establishments in 31 barangays in Rizal province from 6 p.m. tomorrow to 6 a.m. the next day.

Among the barangays that will be affected by the service interruptions are Bagong Nayon, Beverly Hills, Cupang, Dalig, Dela Paz, Inarawan Mambugan, Mayamot, San Isidro, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, San Roque and Sta. Cruz, all in Antipolo; Bagumbayan, Calumpang, Dalig, Dulumbayan, May-Iba, Poblacion, Prinza, San Gabriel, San Roque and Sto. Cristo, all in Teresa; San Guillermo in Morong; Dolores in Taytay; Mahabang Parang and San Roque, both in Angono, and Tayuman, Pag-asa and Pantok, all in Binangonan.

Residents were advised to store enough water for their needs during the interruption period.

Once the service is restored, households should allow water to flow from the faucets for a few minutes to flush out dirt accumulated during the repair work.
