Batanes logs 4th COVID-19 case
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — Batanes has recorded its fourth COVID-19 case.
In a post on Facebook, the Batanes provincial government said the patient, an authorized person outside residence who arrived on a flight from Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, on March 12, tested positive for the virus on Thursday.
Two of his seven co-passengers yielded negative results while five are waiting for the result of their swab tests.
People visiting Batanes are required to undergo quarantine and swab test despite the easing of travel restrictions by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
