MALOLOS, Philippines — A policeman was snatched by unidentified armed men in Norzagaray town on Friday.

Cpl. Nikko John Santos of the Pandi police and his two companions were on two motorcycles when a Starex van blocked their path in Sitio Padling in Barangay Matictic, Lt. Col. Avelino Protacio II, Norzagaray police chief, said in his report to Bulacan police director Col. Lawrence Cajipe.

Santos’ companions said four men who alighted from the van ordered them to lie down and handcuffed them.

They said the gunmen dragged Santos into the van and sped toward an unknown direction.

Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, Central Luzon police director, ordered an investigation into the incident.
